Exhibition: Retratos sem Medo - Portraits without Fear

I am honoured to once again be part of the "Retratos sem Medo - Portraits without Fear" exhibition opening on 13 September 2017. Proceeds of this exhibition are in support of "The Light Space". Last year the exhibition was hosted by Trilhos da Terra in Aveiro, Portugal. This year the exhibition forms part of the Porto Photo Fest 2017 and is hosted by Centro Português de Fotografia (CPF) in Porto, Portugal.

This exhibition has been put together with much care and dedication by Paulo Carvalho. The exhibition includes a collection of conceptual fine art portraits by renowned artists from around the world:

Porto | Portugal

13 September 2017

6pm - 8pm

Free Admission

The exhibition will be open until 10 November 2017.

Sadly, I will not be able to attend the opening, or visit the exhibition. So if you pop in to the exhibition, please please send me some photographs of the exhibition space :) :)

The exhibition "Portraits without Fear" is in support of "The Light Space", which is a professional photography training for survivors of human trafficking and those vulnerable to trafficking and gender based violence.

The goal of the program is to teach photography both as a vocational training and as a tool for empowerment and self expression. The training program is an educational experience that focuses on healing through photography, practical skills to take into the workplace, and real world experience in photography as a career. We teach Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom as well as how to build a portfolio. Both local and international instructors are on faculty.
