Gallery Representation: South Peninsula Community Art Gallery

I am very excited to be part of the opening of the new South Peninsula Community Art Gallery in Kommetjie. The gallery’s official opening will be on Thursday, 29 October from 18:00 to 20:00. For those of you that are local, please join for an evening of art and community. The gallery can be found at the Old Post Office, Unit 9-11 The Village Place, 3 Erica Road, Kommetjie.

My image “The Spaces Between” will be part of the group exhibition, as well as my fine art post card collection and a selection of 200x200mm prints will be available for sale.

Having recently moved back to the Deep South (as this area is fondly called), it was a goal of mine to have my work represented in the valley I grew up in. It seemed that no sooner had I made this wish known to myself that the opportunity arose to be part of the opening of this new gallery.

In preparation for the opening I have popped into the gallery a few times over the past few weeks and I have been swept away by the wonderful work on display – many pieces being inspired by the beautiful Deep South surroundings that the artists being represented live in. My image that will be on display was also created and inspired by the area I have come home to.

I am very excited that the gallery opening has been receiving much attention and support from local media…
